Grandchildren are a blessing from the Lord

This is Judy here. I don't usually do this but since Jim is sleeping I'm going to post some pictures and comments from our time with our wonderful grand kids and of course our grown children too.
"Gamma" and "Gammpa" as our two year old grand daughter Violette called us, was such a joy to get to know. It took a few days for her to warm up to us as it had been 8 months since she last saw us, minus the Skype pictures.
The day we arrived, November 8, was her 2nd birthday. So glad we were there for her celebration.

                                                    She loves blueberries and purple!

We brought this Noah's Arc from Africa. Our tailor makes them. They have about 6 animals, of course two each and Mr and Mrs Noah live on top. She loved the long snakes.

She got these blocks for her birthday. She thought Gammpa would look good with the bag on.
                                                                Funny Gammpa!!!!

She is so smart and pretty with a big smile like Jody and big expressive eyes like daddy Caleb.
She loves to watch Thomas the Tank Engine videos in the morning as she is waking up.
She can name all the engines and doesn't need us to tell her who they are either.

                                                                 Tea parties too.

Her favorite thing to do with Gamma was jumping on the beds. (Gamma just bounced on her knees)She started that activity when we first arrived in November and when we returned from Arizona in December she always reminded me of her falling off and getting a boo boo. So, I had to watch her a little closer this time. We spent lots of time at the park as the weather was really pleasant until closer to Christmas.

                                                          Sliding with Uncle Jordan
                                                                 Peek a boo Gama

Our youngest Jordan arrived at Thanksgiving and stayed until the day after Christmas.  It was good to see him and enjoy his cooking again. They had a lot of fun together too. If she didn't see him in the morning or during the day she would ask the adult who was present "Where is Uncle Jordan?"

For Christmas she got a wooden train track with trains that have magnets to link them. She got a Thomas too. She could put them together and imagine with them. It was cute to watch her playing.

Lest I forget, the other reason we came to the states in November was to see our newest grandchild, Isaac River Depp, born Sept. 14. Jody was doing great with two but glad for the extra hands to help.

First time to hold Isaac at 7 wks. Jim was in Tucson more than there so he cherished those days.

                                                             Babies are sooo kissable.

Just before we left the end of December

He looks a lot like big sis Violette.  He's a very happy baby, except the normal evening fussy time. Growing bigger every day.  I had lots of time to cuddle, rock to sleep, and generally care for him. It gave Jody some time to do Christmas prep and shopping and have a few "dates" with Caleb.

Christmas eve our son Josh, who had been in Korea for a year, arrived. It was so great to get those big bear hugs from him again. He will be staying on for a while so will have more bonding time with Violette and Isaac.

Uncle Josh why are you wearing my birthday crown? You are so funny!!!

Such fond memories which will have to last us for another 14 months.
