Challenge

What is it you enjoy doing the most? What are your hobbies? What is it you do as soon as the necessary stuff gets done? Create a verbal picture of some of your passions.
Did you know there are over 350 different types of jobs in Wycliffe? If I was a betting man I’d bet that some of your passions will line up well with some of the jobs needing done. Take me for example. I enjoy fixing things, I really enjoy fixing stuff. For decades now, being in Wycliffe, I still find it hard to believe that I can do my hobby, do it in a full time Christian context and get paid for doing it! Its been an incredible trip! God may be calling you right now, right from where you are, to use your passion for His glory. Have you ever though about doing something like this?

OK, so you don’t feel called to GO. How about financially supporting an individual or family who is involved in some part of mission work that lines up with your passions? Helping those who are called to go, to do those things you might do if you went. You would be a dynamic part of their team, working hand in hand to accomplish things neither one of you could do alone. Mission work is the churches responsibility. Because each Christian is the church, it is the individual Christians responsibility to see mission work completed. This could be an exciting way for you to fulfill your responsibility. By being a financial supporter you can be just as involved in the mission task as those who are called to go.

Ok, so you’re unemployed and your unemployment pay is about to run out. That takes us to the most important part of every Christians call to be involved in missions. Prayer. Just like you really need prayer right now for a job, the work of missions needs that kind of prayer as well. Prayer of passion to get the work done! Pray for missions just as desperately as you pray for that job you need. Prayer is the most anyone can do! So do it! Pray for us, we’ll keep you informed either by email, mail, blog, Face Book, etc. Whichever is best for you. Keep us informed of your needs and we’ll pray for you. It’s a team effort, we help each other.

In the big picture, every Christian is called to be a part of missions. Always by praying, normally by giving and sometimes by going. We, Jim and Judy have been called to GO! God has never intended for us to go alone. We need a team. Right now we need new prayer team members and new financial team players. Can you accept the challenge? Can you become a part of our team?
