It’s located on the north edge of Tucson, surrounded by the
retirement community of Saddle Brook, just north of Catalina. It’s around 1,000 sq. feet, two bedrooms, two baths
and was completely remodeled in 2012 with new tile, carpet and paint. We are
offering it fully furnished, furniture, sheets, blankets, towels, appliances,
TV, washer, dryer, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans, everything a couple or
family with one child might need. It has
a one car garage for a compact car, with garage door opener. We have an outdoor fire pit and built in
stone BBQ. We haven’t advertised on Craig's List or anything like that
because we want someone, known by someone we
know. It’s our home, not investment
property. It would be great if it could be helpful to someone in need of a get-away,
to rest, relax and recoup. We are looking for renters for anytime from May 2013
to March 2014. Mid-March 2014 we plan to spend about 9 months there. Jim needs
a knee replacement and we have other needs to address, before possibly returning
to Chad.
We are asking $300 a week or $750 a month and that includes
utilities; water, sewer, gas and electric, which are all turned on and in our
name. It also includes basic grounds maintenance, but if you are handy that way
we wouldn’t mind the help. That does not include trash pickup, phone, internet
or cable TV.
It’s on a hillside with an incredible view of the west side of the
Catalina Mountains and part of the city of Tucson. The location offers dark
starry nights, great neighbors, 1/4 mile to national forest access, and hiking,
bicycling, horseback riding, 4X4, and motorcycle trails. It’s a wonderful place. We love it there.
